A Look Back on the Design History of INFINITI

INFINITI Design History | Syracuse, NY

These days, INFINITI is famous for the styling and performance of its luxury cars and SUVs. Yet, INFINITI wasn’t always the luxury powerhouse it is today. It required 31 years of expertise to rise up from humble origins to the brand’s contemporary look and feel.

When INFINITI was founded back in 1989, its lineup consisted of only two vehicles: the M30 coupe and the Q45 sedan. Even back then, the design of these model was praised by critics, along with their smooth rides.

Shortly after the beginning of the new millennium, INFINITI introduced its Infiniti G35 model. It didn’t take long for the G35 to start garnering praise, earning the MotorTrend’s 2003 Car of the Year title in its debut year.

In recent years, INFINITI has shifted its focus toward crossovers and SUVs as consumer tastes have changed. This has brought about a new wave of luxury utility models for the brand. The latest of these models to be introduced is the INFINITI QX55. A spiritual successor to the now-defunct INFINITI FX line, the QX55 not only represents what the future of INFINITI vehicles looks like, but perhaps what the future of luxury vehicles as a whole will be.

You can discover just how beautiful the INFINITI lineup is for yourself when you stop by Lowery Bros. INFINITI of Syracuse in Syracuse, New York.
